The weather just held off for the ladies to enjoy their 70th Birthday on 12 May 2022. Here is a thank you note from the ladies bowls committee, President Shirley Hokin, and members of Kempsey Macleay RSL Women’s Bowls Club hosted a 70th Birthday Fun Bowls Day.
” Teams from our local Women’s Bowls District, comprising Hastings Haven District, Hat Head, Kempsey Heights, Kew, Lake Cathie, Port Macquarie City, Wauchope and Westport, and Kempsey RSL met together for a day of bowls, raffles, lunch, and friendship.
Apologies were received from Comboyne and North Haven.
Norma Douglass, our Patron, and Pauline Lincoln who are daughter’s of founder members Vera Caelli and Sue Ducat, respectively, were in attendance – as well as another senior current member, Phyllis Hardie.
Thanks go to everyone who gave time and effort to our special day.
