Who We Are
The Bowlo, Austral St Kempsey
Offering lawn bowls, pub feeds and cold beverages, The Bowlo offers members and their guests a great variety of entertainment and activities, with something to suit everyone.
The Bowlo, or ‘Bottom Bowls’ as it’s affectionately known – is a great value venue to hold a special event, party or function.
Whether it’s a game of lawn bowls, a bite to eat or a long overdue catch up with friends, there’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy. We even have an outdoor climbing frame, to entertain the kids!

The Bowls Bistro
The Bowls Bistro located on Austral St in Kempsey specialises in delicious favourites and some great taste sensations including our special house made Schnitzels! Plus there are loads of other tasty delights. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a nice bite to eat with friends and family.

The Bowlo Kempsey is a great choice for affordable functions and events.
Our club is a versatile venue for all types of gatherings including: parties, special events and Christmas parties. With a range of catering options to choose from, guests can enjoy a relaxing function space with seating for up to 80 people.

Lawn Bowls at
The Bowlo, Kempsey
We have a Lawn Bowls schedule that suits everyone – from the competitive veteran to those looking to have a barefoot Sunday session!
Social bowls is played Wednesday and Saturday 1-4pm and during the summer months on Friday 4-6:30pm.
All bowlers are welcome.
‘Roll up’ is Tuesday to Sunday from 11am.
To become a registered bowler at The Bowlo, select the relevant check box when filling out your membership form.

Sunday Session The Bowlo
Our Sunday Sessions begin at 1pm and finish at 4pm. Enjoy some barefoot bowls or simply sit back and watch the live music while enjoying a delicious & affordable meal!

Bowls Bistro
The Bowlo, Kempsey is the classic place for a casual snitty and ice cold schooner.
Whether you’ve just won the big game and want to celebrate with your teammates – or you need a great feed after a game of lawn bowls, the Bowls Bistro has a place for you.
Over the years we’ve had some great memories here – and we can’t wait to make more. The Bowls Bistro is more than just a local watering hole – it’s where the young and old come together to swap stories and share a beer.
Open for lunch Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm to 2:30pm
Dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 6.00-8.30pm – it’s a guaranteed great time, with great food.
