The Bowlo
The Bowlo, Austral St Kempsey
Offering lawn bowls, pub feeds and cold beverages, The Bowlo offers members and their guests a great variety of entertainment and activities, with something to suit everyone.
The Bowlo, or ‘Bottom Bowls’ as it's affectionately known - is a great value venue to hold a special event, party or function.
Whether it’s a game of lawn bowls, a bite to eat or a long overdue catch up with friends, there’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy. We even have an outdoor climbing frame, to entertain the kids!
The Bowls Bistro
The Bowls Bistro located on Austral St in Kempsey specialises in delicious favourites and some great new taste sensations including our special house made Schnitzels! Plus there are loads of other tasty delights. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a nice bite to eat with friends and family.

The Bowlo is a great choice for affordable functions and events.
Our club is a versatile venue for all types of gatherings including: parties, special events and Christmas parties. With a range of catering options to choose from, guests can enjoy a relaxing function space with seating for up to 80 people.

Lawn Bowls at
The Bowlo, Kempsey
We have a Lawn Bowling schedule that suits everyone – from the competitive veteran to those looking to have a barefoot Sunday session!
Social bowls is played Wednesday and Saturday 1-4pm. Anyone and everyone is welcome to this session.
Ladies’ bowlers play Thursday at 11.30am
‘Roll up’ is played Friday and Sunday 11-5pm.

Tabatinga Adventure Centre
Kids & Parents love Tabatinga!
Inspired by a village community in Brazil, the Kempsey Macleay RSL Tabatinga Adventure Centre offers an adventure into the world of forests and fascinating creatures. The kids will be entertained for hours in this wonderful play space!
The Adventure Centre contains play elements, attractions and facilities to please all ages, from toddlers to grandparents.
Kick back and enjoy a coffee and some food while the kids run wild!
(Supervised by the Tabatinga Rangers, of course!)
Tabatinga is open from Wednesday to Sunday and offers:
- Individual play sessions
- Birthday parties
- Drop and Dine (Friday & Saturday nights)
- Rock climbing wall (only open on weekends when out of school holidays)
At Tabatinga Kempsey, we have the following spaces:
- Toddler Play Area (0-4 Years)
- Multi-level Jungle climbing play structure (0-12 Years)
- Two fully-themed party rooms
- A Café with great coffee, light meals and snacks
- 6 different rock climbing walls (open daily during school holidays)

Drop & Dine is our service for parents who want to relax, knowing the kids are happy, safe – and entertained, close by! Drop the kids off at Tabatinga, let them play with their friends – and you can enjoy a peaceful dinner at the fabulous Freshwater Bar & Grill.
Drop & Dine is available Friday and Saturday from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
