Indoor hospitality venues have a density limit of 1 person per 2 square metres, and no density limits for outdoors.
COVID-19 Safe Check-in will be required at hospitality venues.
Drinking can be indoors or outdoors, and you may be
seated or standing. Singing and dancing is allowed.
All people over the age of 12 must wear a mask in the following settings:
- indoor areas of all premises except for a place of residence
- front-of-house hospitality staff
Masks are strongly encouraged in settings where you can’t physically distance.

- asked to remove their mask for identity purposes
- in an emergency situation
- providing goods and services and the person needs to remove their mask to provide those goods or services properly
You need to wear your face mask again as soon as the reason for taking it off has ended.
Children aged 2 to 12 years don’t have to wear a mask but are encouraged to wear one where practicable.
Children under 2 years must not wear masks.
If you can’t wear a face mask because of a disability, illness, or mental or physical health condition, you must carry either:
- a medical certificate or letter signed by a registered health practitioner — such as a doctor — or a registered NDIS provider; or
- a statutory declaration
