We’re incredibly proud to support the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat in Forster, providing families from the Macleay region a chance to take a much-needed break from hospital routines and the everyday challenges of caring for a seriously ill child.
During our recent visit, we had the pleasure of meeting Sarah from the Retreat, who shared with us the profound impact of this program:
“Thanks to your support, families are not only given a holiday — they are given hope, rest, and treasured memories that will stay in their hearts forever.”
In the past 12 months alone, 128 families, including four from our local area, have experienced the comfort, care, and joy that the Retreat provides. One family, whose young son recently completed treatment for leukaemia, shared their experience:
“My son said, ‘this is premium air,’ as we strolled along the boardwalk in his wheelchair. We can’t thank you enough for giving us this opportunity.”
Stories like this remind us why community support matters so much. It’s not just about providing a place to stay. It’s about giving families a chance to reconnect, recharge, and create precious memories together during an incredibly challenging time.
