Two out of four Natureland Netball Club teams have secured themselves spots in the Macleay Netball Association Senior competition grand final on Saturday 16 September.
Natureland Division 1 teams, Thunder and Storm, battled it out last Saturday for a grand final spot.
The Storm went into the game as slight favourites as they were the minor premiers finishing at the top of the ladder before finals commenced.
However, it was the third-placed Thunder team who came out on top at the final whistle with a 1-point defeat to secure their place in the Macleay’s premier division 1 grand final against the Crescent Head Vipers.
Congratulations to both teams on a successful season and best of luck to team Thunder for the grand final.
The second Natureland team to make the division 1A grand final is the Cyclone team.
Cyclone were the first team to advance into the grand final with a 1-point win against the Crescent Head Seabirds in the first week of the finals. It’s always a tough game and a battle to the end each time they play.
Cyclone had the week off to prepare but will now play the Crescent Head team once again in the Grand Final as they advanced last week in a 1 goal win.
All divisions have been strong and close this season and the Natureland teams have had another competitive and successful year to be proud of.
The grand finals will be played at the Pam Guyer Netball Centre courts in Kempsey this Saturday 16 September from 10am with junior games and the senior games playing through to the main game at 3pm.
Let’s hope they can bring home two premierships. Either way, they will be celebrating after the games at their favourite place to be and major sponsor The Kempsey Bowlo.
