COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT!
Meet Shirley and Jenni, who both work tirelessly at the Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre doing their part to help our great community thrive.
We stay in touch with Centre Manager Shirley Kent quite a bit throughout the year to see how we can assist the Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre with its mission to strengthen our local community by empowering people to enhance their quality of life.
This January our generous members helped us raise money for this great organisation by donating their spare change to our donation tins. With these donations and a little extra, we purchased a bag of toiletries. Shirley very much ‘appreciates the donation of hygiene products as, in these difficult times, these are in high demand’.
Through Club Grants, the RSL Board of Directors has donated $2000 which Shirley expresses will ‘assist greatly in providing food relief and hygiene products for our clients’.
